The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with MyOHUN and the Department of Veterinary Services, organized the National Avian Influenza Field Simulation Exercise from 26th to 28th July 2022. The location for this year’s simulation exercise is in Sibu, Sarawak. The exercise began on 26th July with a briefing on the simulation involving the organizers, controllers, evaluators, and observers. On 27th August, the simulation exercise was performed, and more than 200 officers, health practitioners, and academicians were involved. The simulation was followed by a tabletop exercise held in Kingwood Hall, Sibu. Debriefing and closing ceremony took place the day after, along with a book launch for Module Simulation Exercise for Management of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, which is available online. MyOHUN looks forward to continuing its involvement in this interagency collaboration as it benefits all parties.
