Short Bio
Ts. Dr. Mohammad Adam Adman is a senior lecturer at the Department of Energy and Environment, Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. He holds a PhD in Community Health from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), co-hosted at the United Nations University – International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), Kuala Lumpur. He started his academic career as a lecturer at Universiti Selangor in 2008. He previously held several university administration positions as the Director of International Office; Deputy Director of Center for Research and Industrial Linkages; and Coordinator for Environmental Health Program at Universiti Selangor. Before joining academia, he was a former Government Official at the Hazardous Substances Division, Department of Environment, Malaysia (DOE). His work interests are at the intersection of air pollution and its health effects and risk-based of air pollution influences on health, as well as hazardous waste management. His current research focuses on environmental health studies, safety and health risks. Additionally, he is a guest lecturer at the Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia (UNDIP). He is also a member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT); the Malaysian Association of Environmental Health (MAEH); the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH); the Clean Air Forum Society of Malaysia (MYCAS), and an affiliate member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He once participated as a Medical Volunteer in the 29th Southeast Asian Games 2017.
