Malaysian Antimicrobial Resistance Action Plan (MyAP-AMR) 2022-2026
On 18 th November 2023, World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week 2023 was celebrated at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre, IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. During the event, Health Minister Dr. Zaliha Mustafa launched the Malaysian Antimicrobial Resistance Action Plan (MyAP-AMR) 2022-2026. This new action plan aims to create a successful and sustainable antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) programme in public and private healthcare facilities and the animal health sector. Exhibitions by many departments and agencies related to AMR attracted many public visitors during the event. At the MyOHUN booth, we offered visitors an interactive experience as they could see real-life tiny germs and bacteria, as well as excellent displays that showed the connection between humans, animals, and the environment. The goal was to show everyone how important it is to consider the health of humans, animals, and the environment as we are highlighting One Health. We also provide interactive games, and the MyOHUN booth won the most interactive booth during the exhibition.
