The Training in Wildlife Zoonoses and Ecosystem Health was held from 24th July to 28th July 2016 located at the Institut Biodiversiti Perhilitan, Lanchang, Pahang which focused on the One Health approach of the importance of Wildlife and Ecosystem health. This training aimed on emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy tropical ecosystem and how it can prevent zoonoses. The program began with lectures related to Ecosystem Health, Wildlife Zoonosis, Wildlife Population Dynamics and Biosecurity as introduction. Afterwards, the participants were demonstrated on field simulation and other procedures concerning the prevention of zoonosis and protection of wildlife in practical. There were 62 participants comprising of undergraduate and postgraduate students from various fields such as Veterinary Medicine, Human Medicine, Environmental Health and Ecology. All in all, the program gave participants a better understanding of the importance of handling cases involving human-wildlife-environment interaction.
