Training on the Prevention of Wildlife Zoonoses and Tropical Ecosystem Health was held in Sepilok Orang Hutan Rehabilitation Centre (SORC) Sandakan, Sabah from 17th to 21st May 2017. Dr. Tengku Rinalfi Putra Tengku Azizan from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and team of facilitators from multiple MyOHUN universities. The activity trained 40 students from UPM, UKM, UNIMAS, UMS, and UM. The invited trainers from Tufts University Dr. Stanley Gordon Fenwick and Dr. Chris Whittier help facilitated the activities along with 8 MyOHUN facilitators from UPM, UKM, UNIMAS, Perhilitan, and SORC. The activity aims to train future OHW in preparing to face diseases that can be transmitted from wildlife to human and vice versa and the importance of ecosystem health in ensuring human and animal health.
