Malaysia Youth One Health Workshop (MyOHW)

Dr. Sharifah Norkhadijah Syed Ismail spearheads the Malaysia Youth One Health Workshop (MyOHW), organized in De’Baron Resort Langkawi from 26 th to 29 th July 2023, investing in the novel audience of One Health teachers and lecturers in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) field. This groundbreaking workshop is set to foster a deeper understanding of One Health (OH) principles among its participants. Aimed at those involved in developing the curriculum for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students, the workshop is a crucial step in preparing the next generation of health professionals. The four-day program is packed with lectures and group activities. Professor Ir. Dr. Siti Anom Ahmad from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) talks about innovations in One Health and the engagement needed to connect the gap between One Health and ideas for innovation. A captivating field visit to Kilim Geoforest Park, immersed in the journey, participants not only grasp the core of One Health but also experience its applications firsthand.
