One Health Community Education on Malaria Knowlesi, took place at Kampung Orang Asli Abu, Cameron Highland, from 24 th to 27 th August 2023. Twenty students and five facilitators from multidisciplinary backgrounds were involved in this program. This 4-days program includes lectures on zoonotic malaria and non-human primates, environment and risk of Malaria, Malaria Knowlesi, communication skills, marginalized communities, and their risk to zoonotic infections. The participants had the opportunity to visit the vector control unit in Cameron Highlands, observed the Malaria control programs conducted by the Ministry of Health. For this program, the participants developed a health education module targeting the indigenous community living at the fringes of a forest. A health education module was then communicated to the marginalized Orang Asli, including students from an indigenous school. The indigenous community were empowered with the knowledge of malaria, the risks, and the preventive measures. The head villager was very appreciative and requested a similar program to be conducted in the future.
