Short Bio
My background in Molecular Microbiology and Food Science allowed me to work with some of the important pathogenic bacteria in food and environment. Currently, our laboratory (Microbiology Lab) is known for working on many different pathogenic species such as Leptospira spp., Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio vulnificus, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella species. Our works encompass the isolation and characterization of the pathogens both by conventional as well as molecular methods from food and environment. The following details of the previous or on-going researches and selected publications are simply a reflection of our involvement in the food safety as well as other microbiological research in collaboration with local research network and international.
