Azlinda Abu Bakar
Azlinda Abu Bakar is a university lecturer and researcher at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Pulau Pinang. Azlinda completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Zoology from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1997. She received her Masters in Science (Entomology) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2004 and obtained her PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biopesticides) at Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur in 2012. Azlinda has served as a university lecturer over the last 10 years and worked at the Department of Medical Microbiology, School of Medical Sciences, USM Health Campus for the first 8 years (2012-2020) and has transferred to School of Biological Sciences in USM Pulau Pinang for the past 2 years (2020-present). Azlinda has experience in public health research and medical entomology. She is continuing her teaching mostly in the topic of medically important of vector arthropod and ectoparasite.
Azlinda is available to collaborate most in plant-based bioinsecticides for mosquito control and insecticide resistance.
