Short Bio
Dr. Badrul Hisham Abdul Samad obtained his MBBS degree from University of Malaya, Malaysia (1994); MPH degree from University of Glasgow, Scotland (1996); and, Master degree in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2003). Currently, he is a Consultant Public Health Physician at the Faculty of Medicine and Defence Health, National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM) and a Research Fellow at the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Research Centre, NDUM, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Badrul Samad started his career in public health, back then, in the Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia since 1997. His expertise is in the area of communicable disease epidemiology, prevention, surveillance, detection and outbreak control; laboratory biosafety; biosecurity, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear & explosives (CBRNe) preparedness & response.
